Andrew is committed to providing your family excellent food grown in a natural environment. Healthy food that is minimally processed is always going to be the best choice for you and your family. Be assured that we are always available to talk about our practices to our customers.
Clean Water
The water here is pristine and is provided to the cattle. Rainfall is adequate given that the Northeast region generally receives plenty of moisture during the growing season. Small creeks, ponds and springs are prevalent on the 500 acre farm.
Clean Soil
Andrew practices crop rotation and participates in conservation programs with the local Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD). He has served on the local Board of Directors for the SWCD. Preserving the soil and water is critical for our food supply.
Clean Food
Clean food starts with environmental stewardship and best management practices. Small farms are great places that produce clean food without additives or preservatives. Animals provide fertilizer to plants in the form of manure that is applied according to the nutrient management plan.
Quality Grains
We grow a variety of quality grains for our beef and for the malting and distilling industries. We have our own planting and harvesting equipment along with cleaning and bagging operations. We hope you contact us with your needs in the future for specialty grains.

Agriculture is a very challenging industry from climate change to market fluctuations, small farmers have more to do than just growing food. Today’s farmers have to be master mechanics, money wizards and conservationists. Managing price, weather, market and legal risks are all part of being a farmer.
Environmental Preservation
The farm has a nutrient management plan, a forest management plan and a conservation stewardship plan.
Ecosystem Management
Animals and plants live in perfect harmony and nutrients are recycled on the farm.
Diversity of Products
The farm produces sunflowers, wheat, barley, hay, and shiitake mushrooms (seasonal). It also raises beef cattle and egg laying chickens.
The Kiraly’s have farmed the Bennett Hollow valley in the foothills of the Catskills for over 100 years. Dairy farms were more numerous than they are today. Andrew produced milk for over 30 years as his father and great aunt did before him. Now the farm produces top quality crops such as sunflowers, wheat, barley and hay. The beef cattle graze 7 months of the year and eat stored hay during the winter. Everything here is grown without the use of GMO (genetically modified organisms).
Farmers make up barely 2% of the population but produce enough food for everyone! Most like working the land and animals outside in the natural environment. Whatever the challenges, farmers tend to be optimistic and want to provide the best product to the most people. Whenever possible, try to buy from small farmers since they have direct control over what goes into the food and also eat the food themselves!
